His story
Plaza del Potro is one of the most representative places in the city of Córdoba, located near the Ribera del Guadalquivir within the Axerquía, or Eastern area of the city after crossing the old walls of the Medina.
Both the square and the neighborhood that surrounds it became one of the great nerve centers and commercial hubs of the late Middle Ages., with a great economic activity that contributed to many people visiting the place and especially this square where, according to some sources, horses and beasts were traded.. It was about, por lo tanto, from a place very visited by fairgrounds, visitors and merchants, which would justify the existence of the famous Posada del Potro, current Fosforito Flamenco Center, which served to accommodate those who needed to spend the night in the city and as a brothel.
In the center of the square there is a fountain at the top of which is a colt dating from the 16th century., Philip II reigning then. They unearthed many bodies and found numerous jewelry and clothes stolen from the unfortunate guests.. The young woman who became interested in the captain was the daughter of one of them..

He ordered some executioners to tie his hands to the fence of the inn and tie two colts to the man's feet.. Then they whipped the horses to gallop and tear him to pieces..
